Scenes from the Venue
He explained the history of crop cultivation, starting from ancient agricultural practices, the development of dwarf cultivars that made the Green Revolution possible, and the development of fertilizers that significantly increased crop yields. He also introduced the mechanisms by which plants absorb nitrogen, an essential nutrient for plant growth, as well as the challenges that arise as absorbed nitrogen circulates among ‘the Atmosphere, Soil, and Organisims.’ He emphasized the importance of understanding the nitrogen cycle as a whole and the role of plant nutrition in this context.
Approximately 40 participants attended the seminar at the venue, while around 30 joined online. Following the lecture, questions were raised not only from the on-site audience but also from online participants, leading to lively discussions.
