Four students from Leicester Medical School (Medical School, University of Leicester) in the UK, which has concluded an interdepartmental exchange agreement(*) with the Faculty of Medicine, Niigata University, are studying Japanese medical care in a clinical setting in Niigata.

In order to provide those students with an opportunity to experience Niigata’s culture, Sakeology Center held a “One-day Sakeology Experience Program” on May 10, 2024.
In the morning, the students attended lectures on sake and Sakeology given by the Center’s faculty members and toured the Center’s facilities.
In the afternoon, they visited KIKUSUI SAKE CO., LTD. and learned about sake brewing in Niigata from Mr. Mizumura, Chief of Overseas Sales Section, Market Development Department.
