OKAMOTO Keiichiro, Ph.D. (Associate Professor, Division of Oral Physiology, Faculty of Dentistry, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences; Cooperating Faculty Member of Sakeology Center) and KAKIHARA Yoshito, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor, Division of Dental Pharmacology, Faculty of Dentistry, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences; Faculty Member of Sakeology Center), in Industry-government-academia collaboration with Hakkaisan Brewery Co., Ltd. (Minamiuonuma, Niigata) and Food Research Center, Niigata Agricultural Research Institute (Kamo, Niigata) (Niigata University; PI: KAKIHARA Yoshito, Ph.D.), have elucidated that Rice-koji extracts reduce anxiety- and pain-responses caused by physical stress using animal models and cultured cell models.
The research result was published in “Nutrients.”
