The article introducing Sakeology Center was published in “The Japanese Journal for the History of Brewing” (No.38)

“Introduction of Sakeology Center, Niigata University: The world’s first hub of Sakeology, an academic discipline dedicated to the systematic study of sake,” written by HATA Yuki, Ph.D., Specially Appointed Assistant Professor, Sakeology Center, was published in “The Japanese Journal for the History of Brewing”(*) (No.38) on March 31, 2023.

The article mainly introduces the Center’s activities in FY2022, including the origins of Sakeology, lectures at Niigata University, international exchange with the University of Bordeaux (Bordeaux Summer School), and the latest report on interdisciplinary research focusing on sake.
