The 1st Japanese Alcoholic Beverages Symposium will be held
The 1st Japanese Alcoholic Beverages Symposium “Shuen – Wine, Shochu, and Sake – Towards the future of Japanese alcoholic beverages” (the 4th Sakeology Symposium, the 17th Symposium on Shochu & Fermentation Studies at Kagoshima University), jointly organized by Sakeology Center, Niigata University; the Institute of Enology and Viticulture, University of Yamanashi; and the Education and Research Center for Fermentation Studies, Kagoshima University, will be held in a hybrid format (on-site and online) on Thursday, November 25 from 1:00 p.m. at the Niigata University Central Library Hall.
The three Centers signed a Collaborative Agreement in September 2021 (Note 1) to further promote education and research activities related to Japanese alcoholic beverages.
As the first step of these activities, the three Centers will hold the 1st Japanese Alcoholic Beverages Symposium and introduce the respective initiatives of the Centers, overviews of each Japanese alcoholic beverage brewing, and the latest activities and research.
Online participation is available for the general public.
