The 1st Sakeology Seminar in FY 2020, “Food and Sake in the Literary Works of early-modern Japan,” was held

On November 19, 2020, the 1st Sakeology Seminar in FY 2020, “Food and Sake in the Literary Works of early-modern Japan,” was held. In the seminar, HATA Yuki, Ph.D., Specially Appointed Assistant Professor, Sakeology Center, gave a lecture on her research.
Dr. HATA Yuki introduced her research on the perception that people have of food and sake from the Muromachi to the Edo Period (around the 14th – 19th centuries), focusing on the food and drink described in the literary works at that time.

 

Sakeology Center plans to hold five Sakeology seminars on the research of each specially appointed assistant professor belonging to Sakeology Center every two months from this November.
* Sakeology Seminar is open to the faculty and staff of Niigata University.
