The Economics Association Seminar “Japanese Saké – a Canadian Perspective” was held with Mr. Patrick ELLIS from Canada

On November 16, 2023, The Economics Association Seminar (*1) was held in the seminar room of Sakeology Center, welcoming Mr. Patrick ELLIS from Canada as a lecturer.
Mr. Patrick ELLIS is an importer who has been making an effort to export sake to Canada. He is the president of Blue Note Sake in Vancouver, Canada, and is also a Sake Samurai (*2) inaugurated by the Japan Sake Brewers Association Junior Council.
At this seminar, he gave a lecture on the potential of sake from the perspective of Canadian culture and the prospects for future global expansion.
Nearly 30 students attended the seminar and engaged in a lively Q&A session.
