The 6th Sakeology Seminar in FY2021, “Development of new varieties of high temperature tolerant sake rice during grain filling,” was held
On March 3, 2022, the 6th Sakeology Seminar in FY2021, “Development of new varieties of high temperature tolerant sake rice during grain filling,” was held. In the seminar, MITSUI Toshiaki, Ph.D., Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, Cooperating Faculty Member of Sakeology Center, gave a lecture on his research.
Dr. MITSUI Toshiaki introduced the susceptibility of sake rice to environmental stresses (drought, high temperature, and high CO2), the changes in sake rice quality due to high temperature ripening, and a new variety of sake rice (Koshitanrei Sdr4-k) with improved high temperature tolerant during grain filling.
The 1st Sakeology Seminar in FY2022 is scheduled for May 2022.
