Books authored and recommended by faculty members of the Sakeology Center will be introduced at the “Niigata University Book Fair 2025”

The “Niigata University Book Fair 2025” (※1), hosted by the Organization for Research Administration, Niigata University, will be held from October 2025 to February 2026. In this event, books authored by faculty members of the Sakeology Center; KAKIHARA Yoshito. Ph.D., Assistant Professor; NISHIDA Ikuhisa, Ph.D., Associate Professor; and WATANABE Hideo, Assistant, along with their recommended books and researcher introduction posters, will be exhibited at multiple venues, including public libraries in Niigata City (Please see here for the exhibition venues and periods) (The linked website is in Japanese).

We hope this fair provides an opportunity to feel closer to university research—to see what books faculty members of the Sakeology Center read, what kind of research they conduct, and how it connects to our daily lives and society.

Additionally, a poster introducing Sakeology in an easy-to-understand manner will be exhibited.

Furthermore, at some venues (Niigata Prefectural Library, Niigata City Central Library), dozens of specially selected sake cups will be exhibited from the approximately 1,500 valuable items donated to the Sakeology Center by Mr. ARAKI Tadahisa, a resident of Okayama Prefecture. (※2)

Please come to the venues.

*Please check the official websites of each library for opening hours and closed days.
