Dr. HATA Yuki received “The 13th ISHIKAWA Matsutaro Encouragement Award for Food Culture Research”

HATA Yuki, Ph.D., Specially Appointed Assistant Professor, Sakeology Center, received “The 13th ISHIKAWA Matsutaro Encouragement Award for Food Culture Research” at the 34th Annual Conference of the Division of Food Culture, the Japan Society of Home Economics held online on November 6, 2022.

The Division of Food Culture, the Japan Society of Home Economics, was established to promote food culture research and disseminate its information through  communication and cooperation among the members.

The division gives the ISHIKAWA Matsutaro Encouragement Award to its young regular or student member who has published an outstanding book or paper by March of the year .

Dr. HATA Yuki received this award for high recognition of her past research on food culture in medieval and early modern Japan, like the following papers:
