The 2nd Sakeology Seminar in AY 2020, “Sake Yeast and its Surroundings – My Past Research and its Evolution into Sakeology –,” was held

On January 21, 2021, the 2nd Sakeology Seminar in AY 2020, “Sake Yeast and its Surroundings – My Past Research and its Evolution into Sakeology –,” was held. In the seminar, Dr. NISHIDA Ikuhisa, Specially Appointed Assistant Professor of Sakeology Center, gave a lecture on his research.

Dr. Nishida introduced the relation between various microorganisms, such as yeast, and human society, as well as the characteristics and history of sake yeast, and the mechanism of sake brewing, referring to his past research experiences and future prospects.

The 3rd Sakeology Seminar in AY 2020 is scheduled for March 17, 2021.
